It happened!!

So it finally happened, I got engaged! I am so excited and oh so dang happy. I have found the greatest guy and I even love him :) I was totally shocked when he proposed, I had no idea it was going to happen. He told me we were going to meet up with his sister and her husband up Rock Canyon in Provo to have a fire and cook-out. As we were walking up to meet them we came to a bridge and at the other end of the bridge was a table with 2 dozen red roses and a small sign. As we got a little closer I noticed my name was on the sign. Rob then knelt down and asked me to marry him with the most gorgeous ring! I felt like it was all a dream. We are getting married Dec. 17 in the Salt Lake Temple.

What has Katie been up to....

To start off the most amazing summer I went to the SugarLand concert with Jess. We had so much fun and it was the best concert ever. They were amazing!

My next adventure was Disneyland. How I love that place.

While we were in California we went to the Newport temple. It is such a pretty temple.
After we went to the temple we went to the beach, it wasn't a very warm day so we just stayed a few minutes. I was the only one to even touch the water. But Rob had a fun time with a photoshoot!
The family cruise finally came (and went way too quickly). We had so much fun as a family just goofing off and seeing some beautiful places.
I have the best family ever.

We have made quite a few trips to the lake this summer. Macy loves grandpa's boat, she can even wakeboard! (see her mothers blog for photos....boshfam.blogspot.com).
I was lucky to go to Stadium of Fire!! Carrie Underwood was really good, she sounded just like she does on the radio.

I don't want summer to end, but now we can look forward to more exciting adventures in the future! ;)

Good Weekend

Last weekend I went down south to hike and play with my best bud Lisa.
We went to Zion on saturday and decided to hike Angels Landing!
I took along this cute fellow.
We hiked steep inclines and narrow passageways to get to the top of this.
We made it!
We were rewarded with this amazing view of the red rock.
This man is going to fall off if he isn't careful.
After our day of hiking we had to go home. But, we made a few stops. One of them at Cove Fort.

Ira Hinckley built this fort in 7 months!
So Happy.
Our adventurous weekend had to come to an end. But it was great while it lasted!

*Thanks to Chad and Lisa Boshell for opening their home to us and feeding us yummy food.

The best day ever!

I think that I just had the best day ever! My friends and I went up to snowbird for a fun filled day of skiing! We headed up there at 7 am and didn't leave until 5:00. It was cold, snowy, foggy and windy but oh so fun. This was my first time on the slopes this season and it felt good. There was so much powder and the snow was beautiful and smooth. Snowbird is great!

After skiing we decided to go to dinner. We went to 5 guys and had a tasty burger. After dinner we went and played games and watched movies. I didn't return home until 4:30 am (shh...don't tell anyone). It was a great day and I love my friends!!

Time?

How can it be the end of January already?! Time is flying!!
I had a great christmas this year.
It felt like I was with family constantly, but it isn't always a bad thing.
We went up to Temple Square to see the lights. Nick and I had to have our annual photo shoot.

We met up with the Oldroyd's at the Lion House and had a great dinner and played fun games. The name game is my fav!
Christmas Eve we had our traditional "talent show". Annie and I played our instruments.
The boys sang us a lovely tune.
Macy performed a beautiful dance.
Mom and Jess played a lovely duet on the piano.
We opened our new christmas jammies.
And one of the best parts of christmas eve we were able to open 1 present.

Best Christmas present ever.
Thanks for graduating Nick and thanks for paying mom and dad!
